The beginnings of the Kree-Skrull war. Amazingly, issue 92 is all talk and no action.Not terribly bad, but a bit disappointing. Looking forward the war and the Secret Invasion...

Fantastic Four 2

The first appearence of the Skrulls. There's a problem with an escaped 4th Skrull, to be (kinda) explained in Avengers 97 -Kree Skrull war.
Awesome Kirby/Lee vintage. 5 starts :-)

The Order 5-10

Not too good, a couple of nice developements, but apparently we won't see them pay off, at least not in this series.

The Order, 2-4

Twist endings, character analysis, not always neatly pulled off, but some threads are intriguing and it would be nice if in the end at least some of them fit together.

The Order 1

Same name but different group and creators than the last Marvel series with this name. This is The initiative, California. With an actor who plays Tony Stark and Pepper Potts playing Hera, a lot like Ilyria (!).

Sub-mariner 4,5 and 6

Namor abandons Atlantis and joins Dr. Doom. That's a spoiler, people!

Sub-mariner 1,2 and 3

Now this is better, at least I know the character and can tell them apart. Namor and the aftermath of Civil War. He faces a coup in Atlantis and Iron Man is trying to prevent war with Atlanteans.
Issue 3: fight with Wolverine. The plot doesn't seem to advance... just put Wolverine in there to boost sales??

New Warriors 7,8

OK, this one deserves a WTF?
Too much talk, I still can't tell all the members of the team from each other. The mystery about oshe/is he not ... who? the team leader, he fights someone, gives the could shoulder to an old lover, all meaningless to me.

This review for # 8 explains things a bit for me, but I cannot agree with "superb writing" if things needed to be explained so much outside the comic.

I have never before read a comic under this title, so I have no idea about the backstory of the characters. Jubilee and Sofia I know, they were X-men.
This is part of the big pack of Initiative tie-ins, dealing with the new status quo after the Civil War in the Marvel Universe.

Annihilation: Conquest

A 6- isuue limited series by DnA, quite good. I read it hoping to know what the Skrulls were up to before going into Secret Invasion.
